A little something about me

Hi, I am Kurt Lee and I am a software engineer. I am a Computer Science and Mathematics undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I have a strong background in full-stack development and am always looking to expand my knowledge and skill set. I am currently looking to collaborate on AL/ML projects to grow my AL/ML competencies.

  • Software Engineer on the Transcribe team.
  • Utilised React, Sass, Webpack and Redux for mobile-first responsive design
  • Worked on transcription API using Go and AWS microservices
  • Wrote Cypress test cases for regression testing

Frontend Engineer

NUS Google Developer Student Club

Aug 2023 - Present

  • Developed a web application, using NextJs and TailwindCss, with a team of 8 developers, for an NGO to manage members and staff.
  • Created components to allow staff to manage volunteers and automate data entry tasks, improving workflow productivity by 50%.
  • Improved development productivity by modelling application using UML diagrams and designing reusable components.

NLP Research Intern

  • Developed a question-answering pipeline, leveraging HuggingFace and OpenAI APIs, for large language models.
  • Performed data crawling, cleaning, and processing, on over 1000 web pages, with Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
  • Leveraged open-source repositories and literature to design, implement and evaluate large language models.
  • Executed extensive literature review on state-of-the-art large language models and evaluation methods.

BoulderView is a social media app designed to allow climbers to connect and make friends in the bouldering community. BoulderView is designed to motivate climbers to grow together through sharing videos and tracking climbs. BoulderView has attained an Orbital achievement of Apollo-11.

FumbleLog is a productivity desktop application built to for NUS Computing students to help you manage contacts and track events. It is designed to be an easy-to-use, one-stop platform for all your scheduling needs.

noSweatMan is a one-stop mobile application that aims to make training for IPPT training and dealing with admin matters more convenient for NSMen and NSFs.

NUShopify is designed to be a marketplace for NUS students to sell and buy 2nd-hand items. As part of Hack and Roll, this project was built within 24 hours and was a great learning experience.
